Once upon a time

Just a normal uneventful day with K just chilling in the village. The red haired kunoichi hadn't any plans to train or meet up with anyone this day, so what better to do than to go have a drink. Sure it was a little early but she's a grown woman, not to mention a known badass so there were very few that would step to her. Being that the Hyuuga hadn't reached out to anyone in an attempt to forge any friendships the woman would be drinking alone. She didn't mind that either, friends weren't important so long as she had reliable allies on the battlefield.

Never the center of attention, her walk to a local bar wasn't too long and neither was the wait for her beverage. The good thing about this place it wasn't a haven for families or couples during the day. That meant only the thugs, alcoholics, and criminals would be here, that's if they managed to drag themselves out of bed. Also, a few old timers looking for an ear to blab into but by now they knew not to both K unless it required shinobi effort. Yes, she was still quite capable with a few drinks, she'd be a pretty shitty ninja if she wasn't.

Gekkido was on his way out of town when he sped through the village streets. Moving so fast that most didn't even know he was there until he slowed down enough for the human eye to catch him. He caught Sakumo sitting at a bar virtually alone and decided to stop by. He sped up to the seat right next to her and placed his hand on her back, along with his hirashin seal. He was sure to touch her flesh when he did this, his hand along her lower back. He knew this would piss her off of course, but did he care?

"Hey lovely... Do me a favor... I'm going out of town for a day or two on vacation. If the boogyman comes, be sure to add some chakra to this seal and I'll come to your rescue."

Sakumo may have already been a bit buzzed, but he knew a few things. One, she was savvy enough to know he had placed a seal onto her. Two, though she was a strong enough shinobi to hurt him for his ridiculous actions, she knew he was serious underneath the playfullness. She was aware that Gekkido was arguably the strongest shinobi in the land; so him leaving was a serious security threat. He was joking, but knew she understood that him leaving was leaving the village vulnerable. He could not tell her that the Mizukage was also leaving, but it was implied. Before she could slap him for his little game, he would speed off.

[EXIT UNLESS INTERRUPTED]

While enjoying her drink Kireina noticed a strong chakra signature rushing past. She wasn't alarmed, however, for if there was an emergency there'd be more of them and if it had been an ANBU member she would've had to focus to notice them. So she continued sipping even when there was a sudden breeze next to her. The gust of air was accompanied by a hand on her lower back, a death sentence for any idiot not fast enough to get away. "Lovely" "Vacation" "Boogyman" "Rescue" The words spewing out of this man's mouth were ridiculous, just who did he think he was speaking to? The voice had been vaguely familiar, so the woman automatically knew she'd need to put forth an actual effort if she wanted to teach him.

Fortunately for him, he sped off right after saying his peace. She wasn't sure how often the kid left the village but if he took the time to mention it to her then it had to be for something important. And knowing who he hung out with he likely wouldn't be the only one leaving. By the time she sighed the male was gone, the red head was going to get wasted before worrying about being one if not the sole defender of the village.
