| Jin had decided to train a different set of skill. It would take quite a bit of thinking and training but it wouldn’t just require physical training. This time, Jin was going with something different. He had acquired mastery in taijutsu, he was adept at bukijutsu but that was just not enough. He needed more. If he wanted to accomplish more, if he wanted to really do what he wanted. What was it that he wanted? Well, that’s a long story but I do have one neat nindo for Jin. That comes later though.
Today, Jin could be found in the library reading through the scrolls and books on fuinjutsu. He needed to understand the concept first and how it worked. Instead of taking the scrolls and books to a desk and then studying them, he would retrieve a book sit on the floor and start reading it. He didn’t have the patience to be subtle about it. This day, his goal was to learn how fuinjutsu worked and then try to practice it.
It didn’t matter if he was successful at the end of the day but he was going to do try it. So, now he was immersed in a scroll that explained how fuinjutsu worked. He questioned what could be done with it and how it could be incorporated with taijutsu and bukijutsu. While he studied intensely about fuinjutsu, he also began planning about developing his own fuintai or fuinbuki style. That would most certainly require a ton of work but it wasn’t an unachievable goal.
That however, required him to focus on the book he was holding right now: “The Fundamentals of Fuinjutsu”.

| The masked man had been in the library the entire morning, he had gotten there even before the library was open. And from the time it had opened, he had been moving from book to book and switching book shelves; sitting on the floor and just reading like a crazy person. By this time, the Sun was high and angry; twas the afternoon. He didn’t know how much tea had he drank by then but it was good enough to keep him from sleeping. That was essential and thanks to that, now he knew how fuinjutsu worked.
Fuinjutsu was done with two things: Hand-signs (obviously) and the second was the mark of a seal. Each sealing had their own characteristic mark and a fuinjutsu user could also develop their own sealing jutsus using these seals. That’s why these seals played an integral part for the skill and it was necessary to develop an understanding of them. So, Jin knew what he needed to do next. And he could not do that here, in the library. He replaced all the books he had taken from the bookshelves in their proper places. Then he thanked the librarian for her hospitality and left the library.
He found a place where they sold scrolls, he purchased quite a few and also purchased some ink and a pen to write with. Sure, fuinjutsu didn’t require him to draw seals but he had to practice first. He needed to understand what sort of seals he could make with his chakra. So, he found himself a good quiet place and began writing seals just like how they were drawn in the reading material he had been studying for so long.
If he wanted to acquire a unique fuinjutsu skill, he needed to make sure his seals were unique and not so easy to understand.

| The practicing of seal making took the rest of his day. By the time he was finished, he could see seals everywhere; even though they weren’t there. He finished all the ink he had purchased and used up all the scrolls too. And now he understood, how to draw effective seals. May be not professional level seals but he could be cut above the average shinobi now. After that, he decided to take a break and eat something while thinking about some fuinjutsu techniques. He knew that objects could be sealed in scrolls using fuinjutsu and they could be ‘summoned’ from the seal mark using fuinjutsu too. This was a highly versatile concept in his opinion. Something that he wanted to build a fighting style around. He had some skill in bukijutsu and that would go nicely with a diverse range of weapon availability at all times. Instead of carrying weapons around, he would just have to carry scrolls around. That was a lot less strenuous and inconspicuous too.
”The book said I can seal even ninjutsu techniques in scrolls and then use them using fuinjutsu. That hints to how diverse this process can be.”, thought Jin as he awaited the arrival of food in a restaurant.
He had ditched the scrolls and the pain and the ink and had found himself a decent place to chow down. After studying all day and writing the rest of it, he was in no mood to cook for himself or go home and deal with some business stuff. That would be too much for him. For now, he needed to focus on fuinjutsu and fuinjutsu only.
”If I can use fuinjutsu to seal a weapon and summon it using the seal mark and the scroll. Then why not check my limits. How many weapons would I be able to seal and how long or big a scroll I could use. I’ll have to experiment with that. And, if I can change the weapon types; there’s a lot more that can be done with this”, he continued to think up his way of incorporating fuinjutsu into his fighting style until the food arrived.
When the food arrived, Jin had decided on a few things he needed to do; for now though, he was hungry and his training was over.
