Hiro Trains Because His Father's An Ass(Training/Solo)

Hiro knew that, to even have a chance in the exams with what he had, he’d have to figure out how to increase his chakra reserves. That was just the fact of the matter. It was either that to figure out how to do the more advanced shadow jutsu that a lot of his clanmates were struggling with. That was just what he had to do.

The problem therein lied that he wasn’t a prodigy. He was smart, sure. He was even an accomplished brain at the academy. Well, that just meant he scored well on his paper tests, just like any Nara was expected to. They were smart after all, but that changed nothing when it came down to if he could manage to use the advanced nara jutsu as a genin.

This didn’t stop the Nara from having sat down in one of the rooms of his home and staring at the wall again, thinking and pondering remorsefully. He had to figure something out. He had sat there for over 30 minutes before one of his clansmate, a female, came into his room shortly after knocking.

“What’s bothering you Hiro?”

“I can’t shake the feeling that if I sign up for the exams and try to go at it with the others, I’ll fail miserably. I say this because it’s a proven fact that we can’t do much compared to the other clans. We have our role as tacticaons, and nothing more.”

“That’s false. You’re only 14 and you have almost effortless control over your shadow; that’s amazing. That shows that you haven’t slacked in your training. Come on, don’t mope and get over here.”

He got up and followed his clansmate through a few hallways to a training room, and knew what they were to do next. He had to figure out something in releation to progress before they left this room, and he also knew that the only reason she was helping him, was because that meant she was in good with the future head. That wasn’t true. He hardly kept note of her facial features. That was a good and bad thing. He also knew that he had to be able to do behind the back hand-signs if he were to do really good in the following exam.

Despite everything, he stood there and channeled chakra, He channeled it into his shadow and started moving it across the room. He, rather easily, caught his clanmate in it and she mimiced a stupid post he therein did. That wasn’t progress though. That was stupid, childish fun. That didn’t help him in the slightest, despite his repeated thoughts.

This is wher the problems started coming from. It was a certain lack of business that was getting done overall. Well, that was his thought. Despite what he thought, his shadow was slowly climbing up his clanmates body, without him realizing it.

He stopped once he thought he was making no progress. Despite his confidence in his abilities, that didn’t mean he was immune to the ol ‘I’m making no progress so lets give up’ schpeel that most young children go through. His clansmate eyed him, her eyes slowly tracking his entire body as though she’d find something new, which she wouldn’t. He neither had enough chakra to be visable to the naked eye, nor did he have the capacity to do so, and he hadn’t done anything physically exerting so that didn’t leave him with more possiblities. Admittedly. Now, was it wrong that he probably had the highest potential in the room out of the two of them while he gave up? Yes, but that didn’t make a change.

This whole ‘I’m going to give up’ idea came to a grinding halt once his clansmate sort of made an analogy.

“You know what uor father has stated multiple times. That ‘To be a Clan Head, you must have confidence, poise, and above all, courage.’ That just means what you’re doing isn’t what the clan head would do. It’s what Hiro Nara, Future Head would do. Jeeze. You can spot a gnat on a wall of black paint but you can’t figure out how to do ninjutsu.”

This hit him harder than it should have because he did what he vowed never to do. He took into consideration too many factors and tried to calculate the exacts. That overwhlemed him and caused him to go down terribly. That was just sort of how it happened.  That’s how he ran in day to day life, going calculation by calculation when he cared enough to tune in. That was just sort of how it happened.

He had to go at it again, but this time, with renewed confidence. He had to force his shadow to go up his clansmates body, as that was the only way he could confirm if he could do advanced ninjutsu like he thought he could. Yes, it was difficult. That was a no-brainer. Difficulty came iwth the power that it brought with it. He could, if using his clans secret techniques, choke a man with his shadow. That was the goal.

Not to mention, if he combined it with his steel release, there was some amazing capture techniques he could make.

That mattered not right away, as what he cared about most of all was the capacity to win. That’s what the Nara jutsu had to offer. The capcity to win because no one knew how to counter them. OF course, they were neigh uncounterable. That didn’t mean that they weren’t counterable. Everything had a counter, if one looked hard enough or specialized in a specific way. That was what Hiro felt.

This didn’t change the fact that the small cihld was failing at getting his shadow to claim up his clanmates body. Yes, it was mildly odd, but that didn’t mean he didn’t do it. If he didn’t do it, they’d have more problems than just being an odd scene to look at.
