PostSubject: Desert Solitude Pt. 3   Desert Solitude Pt. 3 EmptyMon Jul 02, 2018 10:04 am

Voltaire had grown tired of always wondering what was around him after all of that time spent outside and not having three hundred sixty degree vision like some sort of a dirty white eyed degenerate; hyooo-gah. Though, one's Chakra was definitely a part of them, as he had trained himself up to unbelievably power Voltaire found that he could very much feel his chakra as it flowed throughout the many specialized veins in one's body. The next logical step was to pour the chakra beyond the body so that things may be felt beyond that.

Voltaire closed his eyes and pressed his palms together tight, from the tips of his fingers to the bottoms of his palms he pressed so hard that his knuckles turned white and he left very little space in between his hands.

Voltaire's chakra flowed into the air from every chakra point, and with as much chakra as he had this was not particularly difficult. The chakra poured out of him from every access point and exploded with its force, moving the sand and coloring the surrounding air a light blue color as he forced it out while working to make sure that he did not accidentally push it too far away for him to control it, just losing chakra in the process. It erupted violently from his every pore, covering his body and illuminating it with the power that he was storing within his body since he had become what he now was, a world class shinobi. As he pushed outwards he moved some of the chakra still inside of him up to his optic nerve and then connected that chakra to that which he had already expelled from his body. It took him very little time to start to get some fuzzy images.

Voltaire could still see that which he could see with his eyes, what was in front of him at some close proximity and not obstructed by any other physical objects or visible energies. On top of that was something else, something not yet clear. He saw things the way that one saw things when running at high speeds, or at least the high speeds that a powerful shinobi like himself could achieve, though without the superior vision of a superior warrior like himself, just blurs and confusing shapes that never quite came out to be useful information. His chakra moved faster than the wind itself, and because of this any vision granted by his chakra, particularly through his chakra, appeared as though he was running in impossibly fast circles. He also saw odd, repeating angles as though he were looking through the compound eyes of an insect; it was an array of jagged shards of frequently overlapping views.

PostSubject: Re: Desert Solitude Pt. 3   Desert Solitude Pt. 3 EmptyFri Jul 06, 2018 6:47 am

Voltaire pulled back a little on the flame like burst of chakra that had formed around his body, and determined an exact amount of chakra that was to be used in this. Twenty meters in any direction from Voltaire's core is what was covered by what he would allow, and as he pushed that out further instead of just blasting out more and more chakra he found that the jagged edges were flattened out a bit, the creases removed as the technique began to take shape into the sphere that had been intended. The Chakra did not only reshape, but it also thinned out without dispersing as well as without failing in the goal of the jutsu. The contents of the sphere were still spinning out of control, but this was something that Voltaire could not so easily fix with technique alone. Voltaire pumped some of the chakra in the opposite direction of the existing spiral in small bursts, though he was quite well aware that some waiting was in order to make absolutely sure that this was at least mostly still now that it could not be seen and was in the necessary range. It was perfectly acceptable though once it slowed down, Voltaire really could see everything around him.

Desert Solitude Pt. 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Desert Solitude Pt. 3   Desert Solitude Pt. 3 EmptyFri Jul 06, 2018 2:30 pm

As Voltaire took his palms apart he took a quick mental inventory of all of the things that he had seen when he was training his sensory capabilities. Most of it had been the mundane repetition of the desert landscape and the sparse interesting things that came along with that, but about two feet beneath the sand there was a treasure trove of dangerous tools; most of it had no use for Voltaire, but he did find several feet of ninja wire and a sizable stack of exploding tags. He dug a long while and greedily snatched up what he found below. He pulled from his pocket  four of them and then started to place them. It took him some time to figure out exactly the right distance for something at the center to really be hit by the border of the explosion of all four of them. He decided that if he placed each of them about forty feet from one another in a square then this would work, but then he asked himself, why just subject the horrible creatures to the ends of the blast radius?

The technique that he wished to train, as Voltaire understood it, was going to detonate only when something stepped in the center of it, so he hardly saw any reason to trade in the raw power of the explosive tags for a little bit of range that he would be able to produce with the help of his chakra. Voltaire moved to each of the tags, but he did not yet move them from where he put them. He had to get an idea of how far apart each was from the center as things stood already. He counted his paces from one to the next, finding that he had placed them in a perfect square, as perfection was something that he was known for, but the damned wind had moved a couple of the tags saying as they were not perfectly straight lines and while they were all close to fifteen paces from one to the next, some were a bit more or less than that. Voltaire gathered the tags up once more and walked to what would have been the center of the previous square.

The tags were now much closer together, about three paces from one another in a straight line forming each side of the invisible square; it was made invisible by Voltaire taking handfuls of sand and dumping them over the exploding seals to make sure that no approaching animal or even some unlucky human if Voltaire himself was particularly lucky would be able to see the trap that he had set out for them. Voltaire thread out some of his chakra, at first making sure to pour them into the explosive seals, even placing his palms over those parts of the sands that covered them for a couple of seconds each to make sure that these points were properly infused with his energy. Once this was complete, Voltaire started to move that chakra. He first moved the chakra from the sides, making right angles at each point to make the invisible square very real without making it visible. After that some more chakra extended from the tags to make an "x" in the center of the newly made square. That point was set as the trigger with each tag being a mere three paces from the next.

Voltaire waited, knowing it was going to be a long wait and already horribly disturbed after mere moments into it. He was waiting for some form of life large enough to be left in edible pieces after being hit with not just one but four large explosions in a desert infamous for being one of the most devoid of proper life. The size of the desert meant that things could not so easily wonder in from neighboring ecosystems and the life that was there could be reasonably spread out, territorial even. Many creatures along the lines of what he was looking for were quite incentivized to not wander too far off of their usual courses.

As Voltaire's luck just so had it, something terribly large came along. Though, there was some doubt as to whether or not it would prove to be edible. Either way, Voltaire was going to get to blow something up so the experience was not a waste. An enormous scorpion walked into the square and pieces were scattered all around the sand as the flames erupted upwards from all four seals at the same times.

Voltaire saw the idea of the explosion and thought about combining it with some of his other more lethal techniques, one of the most lethal applications would definitely be Shadow Clone Jutsu, and this would likely be one of the easiest things that he could apply it to, or at least he hoped that it would be. Voltaire first put in his mind the idea of what type of work went into forming one of his normal shadow clones, though that in itself would be far too intuitive, so he thought back to the first time that he made shadow clones, how he had to really work on imagining himself, and how how fun an exercise that was for Voltaire back then, and to a lesser extent still now even as his wardrobe and complexion had been under the wrath of the desert heat for such a long time now. He started to pool a large piece of his chakra into the spot next to where he was standing, about a foot and a half to his left, and then he focused hard on where the chest would appear, deciding that the explosive core would likely have to made first so that he did not accidentally blow himself away in the first parts of forming the explosive clone.

The more and more that Voltaire focused on that one singular point of chakra right where he wanted the chest of the clone to be he realized that it was taking on a very familiar shape. It was somewhat round, but not a perfect circle; it was moving with a rhythm, but it was quite stationary in location; it would be central for the existence of the clone, and to strike it once the clone was formed would be a very quick way to set off the hidden use that it would serve. The ball of chakra that Voltaire was forming there grew more and more concentrated, much more than even any part of any body part or organ of the shadow clones, though this time it would not be allowed to really turn solid. This was the explosive heart of the explosive shadow clone that was being created. From it slowly spread out the chakra needed to make a clone around the all important core that would make this chakra based humanoid so very destructive.

Voltaire was further reminded by his first attempt to create a shadow clone as he continued on with the mission of creating one that would blow up when dealt a strong strike instead of just going up in a puff of smoke. Though he also was astonished by how very different the whole direction of chakra was; when creating a shadow clone one has their chakra travel through every inch of their own body and then travel through their clothing, their weapons, their accessories, even the chakra networks themselves, and then it carries itself on to another point at which it can replicate all that it has identified. In this case the chakra started with leaving the body of the creator and then the clone was built slowly around it form the inside out, chakra network first and then the circulatory system next. Luckily for anybody who would approach, this process was not visible. Sadly for Voltaire and his great annoyance at being reminded that he was just as human as the semi-sentient bags of meat passing as people that he had studied iryojutsu on.

Once complete in mapping out Voltaire's vital organ systems, his appearance, his mannerisms, his voice, and his clothing, the clone appeared in the visual and physical realms. This was a long and complicated, as well as unnerving process to really feel happening as the chakra was still quite connected to Voltaire. From the explosive core extended a great many tubes that tapered, dilated, and branched out until two very separate systems were formed, one was for carrying the lifeline of the shinobi whereas the other was for carrying the lifeline of the human being, chakra and blood respectively. Not only was he Voltaire in appearance, but he was the same imperfect Voltaire that Voltaire was in appearance, covered in the bruises and dirt accumulated from all of the desert training. Even the bags under his light blue eyes were just as heavy as those on the original. Actually, they seemed to be somewhat heavier and he carried with him more grief. He was cursed both with Voltaire's ego as well as knowledge of his purpose.

Voltaire and the clone whose destiny was to be detonated not even in glorious combat but just to test if it worked met eyes for a brief moment before the clone broke it, hardly able to cope with what was to come. Voltaire was glad that the clone had done so because his own gaze would have abruptly averted soon enough had the other not. To destroy not only something that he had created, but something that he had delicately crafted in his own image, and to go about destroying it in such a pointless way was going to crush his spirit, but it was necessary to do. Both Voltaire's the real one and the explosive one knew that this was all in preparation to protect Sungakure no Sato.

The clone took off running, staying on his feet at full speed until he was far enough away that the two could not see the white's of one another's eyes. Once this was done, the clone detonated and threw up shovel fulls of sand in a glorious explosion.

Desert Solitude Pt. 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Desert Solitude Pt. 3   Desert Solitude Pt. 3 EmptyTue Jul 10, 2018 6:37 am

As Voltaire's chakra quickly climbed to its impressive maximum, he had to worry about just how much of it there was. He was walking around with a target on his back and while it was fine out in the solitude of the desert it may cause him problems once he returned to the village where not only other ninja were, but where foreigners may pass through at any time claiming to be merchants or some other horrible nonsense that was obviously the furthest thing from the truth. Voltaire felt his chakra flowing all throughout his body and began questioning how he could possibly hide it. Condensing it inside of himself would likely just form something dangerous deep inside of his chakra points and then he would risk winding up like the clone that he had just sent to die. Voltaire did not yet know what to do with that chakra that was already inside of him, but he did know what to do about some things. He started off by pulling whatever chakra had leaked out back into his body, not allowing residue of his power to bless the sands he stood on or the air around him.

PostSubject: Re: Desert Solitude Pt. 3   Desert Solitude Pt. 3 EmptyTue Jul 10, 2018 6:14 pm

As Voltaire pulled in the chakra he felt it growing stronger within him, which while this made him swell with pride it was going against his intent of hiding his chakra signature from sensory shinobi, like the filthy Dojutsu users whose rabid degeneracy cluttered up lesser nations like the Village Hidden in the Leaves. The Chakra was building in intensity as it swirled through the seemingly endless labyrinth of invisible tubes that made up the Chakra System of a well trained human shinobi. He kept on pulling inwards, making absolutely sure that none of the chakra from hi previous techniques remained, even from the exploding clone so far off he pulled that chakra back inside of himself. His body now contained the sum of his Chakra. This did not hide his body from sensory techniques, and to eyes like Byakugan or the higher levels of the Sharingan it would make him stand out like a sore thumb, but now at least there would be a bit less of his chakra around to be picked up by techniques like his own recently trained sensory jutsu.

Desert Solitude Pt. 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Desert Solitude Pt. 3   Desert Solitude Pt. 3 EmptyTue Jul 10, 2018 6:22 pm

Even once all traceable amounts of his chakra were pulled back into his chakra network Voltaire did not stop pulling inwards as he tried desperately to hide his power. First just from his skin and face, all of the chakra was drained, leaving those areas feeling strangely numb as they lacked the normal life force that filled him up so entirely. After that the extremities were drained of their chakra as all of it pooled up into the core of his torso. It was similar to the way heat moved in the body during the process of frost bite, where heat moved to the more vital parts of the body in hopes of keeping the more vital organs alive. It did indeed form a ball near his heart just like the one that he had created inside of the explosive clone, and he knew that it was not likely a good thing that his own core would feel so similar to that one for any period of time.

Voltaire let some of the chakra out gradually, out of his torso, and back into his entire body. Once there it started to build a higher concentration in the skin than it did previously in his core, though this time he used it to put up a strange barrier that created the image of there not being any chakra.

This means that if one has a Ninjutsu Tier 5, they'll be able to hide their chakra from someone who's also a Ninjutsu Tier 5.

The downside of this ability is that since the user suppresses their chakra, they are unable to use sense other targets. Furthermore, the suppression is de-activated the moment they use a jutsu that requires chakra (some techniques like Taijutsu can be excluded from this).

Desert Solitude Pt. 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Desert Solitude Pt. 3   Desert Solitude Pt. 3 EmptyTue Jul 10, 2018 6:49 pm

Voltaire took out some of the remaining explosive tags and decided that it would be best if they were to be somewhat re-purposed for the time being. Voltaire had no ink, but he was resourceful, he was literate, and he knew how to write with blood as it had been necessary to acquire his spider summons. He took out five of the tags and then he bit down into the thumb of his right hand until he drew plenty of blood. He used the blood on that thumb, turning over the tags with his left hand and starting to bleed in a less than random way onto the blank sides of the tags. The result on each tag was "kin" written in dark red blood. This was the word for forbidden and it was not just to warn people about something. It in many ways was a metaphor made real as chakra did what was best intended of it; the purpose of chakra when used by a powerful shinobi is to make that which is imagined by the user into a reality that none can pretend is not there.

PostSubject: Re: Desert Solitude Pt. 3   Desert Solitude Pt. 3 EmptyWed Jul 11, 2018 7:12 am

Voltaire took out one of his kunai and placed it on the ground, stabbing the sharp end into the sandy surface. Voltaire then slapped one of the seals on the handle of the kunai, wrapping it around the stem with a bit of a diagonal to make sure that as much of it was visible as possible and to avoid an overlap of the paper. He then set out to find various places to leave the other four tags. One of the highest priority goals in training the jutsu was indeed that he knew how to use the technique to its fullest potential, which meant that he would have to find some more creative places to put the remaining tags.

Voltaire struck out into the desert, getting about half of a kilometer away from the place where he had stuck the kunai, searching for the best possible places to place the "kin" forbidden tags. Voltaire placed the first of the remaining four tags on a rock and then continued his search.

PostSubject: Re: Desert Solitude Pt. 3   Desert Solitude Pt. 3 EmptyWed Jul 11, 2018 7:24 am

Voltaire saw something moving through the sand and immediately started to run in that direction. It was a small, dark green, lizard with brown markings on its back that had just nabbed itself a couple of tasty insects. It gave chance for a few moments, but right before it ducked back into the sand Voltaire snatched it up with his right hand. He held it by the head, gripping the base of its neck between his thumb and his index finger. He then wrapped the tag around the body of the lizard. He dropped it and walked off, allowing it to seal his kunai's durability knowing that even he would likely never be able to find that little reptile again. Voltaire walked towards the kunai and then he walked past it a couple of paces. He then fell to his knees and scooped up the sand, making a large mound next to the hole. He then placed the tag on top of the mound and started throwing that sand back into the hole. After this he walked in another direction until he found a cactus. It was about four feet tall with three branches and two pink flowers, one at the top and another at the tip of the longest branch. He cut a piece of it out with a kunai. He then took one of the tags and slapped it onto the inside of the cactus. With that, the seal was done.

Using any kind of physical attack to try and destroy something in the barrier is folly, as it will only lead to injury. Desert Solitude Pt. 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Desert Solitude Pt. 3   Desert Solitude Pt. 3 EmptyWed Jul 11, 2018 7:41 am

For his next trick Voltaire was going to need a few assistants, though these assistants would have to be on equal footing with Voltaire in intelligence, though they would not need as much Chakra. There were no other people in the desert who would really fit the bill if there were any people who would fit the bill of being nearly as intelligent as Voltaire on Earth, however these assistants would not be particularly hard to find. Voltaire fit the bill better than anybody, and as of late for all of the loneliness he had gotten quite fond of making more of himself with the least bit of an excuse presenting itself. Though, the excuse was pretty good this time. The Jutsu required four people and while he was better than the combined efforts of most groups of four shinobi, he was still just one shinobi worth ten. He formed a hand seal and created three shadow clones. They would be known as Clone Silver, Clone Blue, and Clone Purple. They would each represent the regal nature of Voltaire himself as well as the soon to be KINGDOM of Sunagakure no Sato.

The four of them stood in a line, with Voltaire at the end of the line. Voltaire started walking a new line perpendicular to the short one that the four of them formed. Clone Purple stayed at the corner of these two lines of foot steps while the other two followed Voltaire.

Desert Solitude Pt. 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Desert Solitude Pt. 3   Desert Solitude Pt. 3 EmptyWed Jul 11, 2018 7:49 am

Voltaire, Clone Silver, and Clone Blue continued walking until Voltaire at the head of the convoy had taken one hundred twenty paces in that direction. As soon as that spot was reached Voltaire took another ninety degree turn to his left, parallel to the first short line and perpendicular to the long one that he had just created. Clone Blue, who was at the end of the line, stayed behind at the corner just as Clone Purple had done previously. This new line also, was also one hundred twenty paces in the sand. Once Voltaire reached the end of that he took another left turn, leaving Clone Silver behind at that corner and marching alone one more one hundred twenty pace line.

This created a perfect square of points made up of four identical shinobi, each ready to do his own part in creating this masterful defense.

Desert Solitude Pt. 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Desert Solitude Pt. 3   Desert Solitude Pt. 3 EmptyWed Jul 11, 2018 7:56 am

The four of them, Voltaire and his three shadow clones, all faces away from the center of the square that they had made, away from each other, keeping their feet on the lines all the while. The placed out their palms to face away from themselves as well as each other, as though they were pushing their hands against the wall that was already there. Chakra gathered in the four warriors' eight palms as they prepared the air around them for what was to come.

Though it was said not to be necessary, Voltaire felt that this was a great lie, and he decided to pull from his Katon. The fire release was helpful in the formation of the great walls, helpful in making absolutely sure that attempt to breach them would be as devastating a mistake as possible for any buffoon who was dumb enough to fight against Voltaire that seriously in the first place.

Desert Solitude Pt. 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Desert Solitude Pt. 3   Desert Solitude Pt. 3 EmptyWed Jul 11, 2018 8:04 am

The intense heat of the fire released infused chakra poured out from the palms of the eight men as though it were being poured into a perfect mold made just for this most fantastic of barriers. At first the corners and only the corners formed, the walls though, already had that deep purple with the several cloudy patches of darker colors passing through them as the chakra concentrated to the point at which it could become solid enough to keep people out.

These corners expanded slowly to meet one another. As they did they did not look like they were growing as much as they looked like they were eating the air in their paths. The four lines that they had imagined were now made very real across the sand as these were the first parts of the middle pieces of the walls to form. After this they climbed quickly upwards, going a similar height to the set lengths he had planned out with the step counting. Once they reached these heights and flattened out at the tops the walls' tops became connected by a ceiling that was equally powerful. After this, four more walls, much smaller and perfectly triangular than the others, formed in the corners around Voltaire and around his three clones to protect them from any theoretical enemies that they would be trying to keep inside. Satisfied with their abilities to do so again in the future, all four of them released the Jutsu.

Jutsu Learned:
Name: Four Violet Flames Formation
Rank: B
Type:Ninjutsu
Element: Fire (the affinity is not required)
Range: Long
Handseals: Snake → Claps hands
Description: This is a solid, strong barrier formation, performed by four shinobi. Standing in a square formation, the performers are covered from all sides. The faces of the barrier are made from pure purple flames. The barrier does not allow anyone to enter or exit so long as the ninja are unharmed. The body of anyone touching it will immediately be engulfed in flames. In addition, there is no way to destroy the formation from inside the barrier, since the four people also have a barrier on the inside protecting them. Breaking out is extremely difficult as well. This barrier can even prevent a user of the Spirit Transformation Technique from having their materialised spirit from leaving its confines

Desert Solitude Pt. 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Desert Solitude Pt. 3   Desert Solitude Pt. 3 EmptyWed Jul 11, 2018 8:14 am

Voltaire, Clone Purple, Clone Silver, and of course Clone Blue were all three horribly exhausted. They did not move from their spots on the corners of the square before they sat down on the ground, allowing their hands to slip through the sands. They were exhausted, each of them having used far too much of their chakra. But they were not yet ready to stop training. They all looked at the kunai sticking in the ground, realizing that it had become the center of the square that they had made. They then knew what it was time to do. Voltaire, being the lead and therefore in charge of what was most difficult, went off to find the lizard.

Clone Silver was Silver and metal was silver, so he stayed next to the kunai that had been stabbed into the ground with the tag wrapped around the handle. Clone Blue was not the same color as anything in particular, so he ran to what he knew to be the spot and started to dig until he found a chunk of sand that was nearly impossible to dig through, and felt around until he found the paper that made this so. Clone Purple stuck his hand in the cut open cactus. Once Voltaire found the lizard he kept the squirming animal tight in his hand as he walked over to the rock. To end their training for the time being, all of them ripped off the tags at once, making the kunai once more all too breakable.
