| Voltaire was preparing yet again for one of his all or nothing training sprees so that he would be up to par to take the position of Kazekage once he returned to his homeland. This was far too much work for one Genin, even a very powerful one. Luckily though, Voltaire could be four particularly powerful Genin at any given moment. Voltaire formed a hand sign and instantly felt almost all of his Chakra slip away from him. Once more they were named for the regal colors that Voltaire was going to put into place on his palace once he returned a truly great ninja. Clone Purple stood facing Voltaire directly, about a foot and a half away. Clone Blue stood to Voltaire's right, facing to Voltaire's left. Clone Silver stood to Voltaire's left, matching eyes with Clone Blue. They formed a perfect diamond and then all three of them jumped back several feet, each planning on what they would do next, each ready to train both separately from one another as well as in conjunction with one another to build up skills like they had never used before.
Clone Blue took the most ambitious technique for himself first. Clone Blue pressed his palms together, forming a triangle with his pointer and middle fingers while wrapping his other fingers around each other. "Tora!" he bellowed out. He then made another hand sign where he wrapped his fingers together, though this time he stacked one of the hands more on top of the other, shouting "Hitsuji!" as he formed the sign. He preformed another hand seal with stacked hands though with a different finger position and he said, "Ne!" Clone Blue then pressed his hands out flat with his palms facing himself and laced his fingers together, with this form he barked out, "Uma!" He then preformed a hand sign in which his hands were pressed together with his fingers curled inwards and both knuckles were facing the ground as he yelled, "I!" And as he formed one more hand sign and yelled out, "U!" the adventure of that clone's short lifespan was about to begin.

| Clone Blue started to feel some very odd things that only a great many Ninjutsu specialists of the great few Shinobi of the great few who reached the type of power that one would consider Kage level would ever get to feel. His consciousness was starting to move into his chakra network just as much as it was existing with his own physical brain. This was something like using some sensory technique except it was inside of his own body. It was like he had some second body that he could move separately. Voltaire's Shadow Clone designated Blue moved his fingers, and while he definitely did take this action the fingers did not move. He felt the air swish around his fingers and he felt his joints bending, though his fingers stayed still.
Clone Blue could feel that something was happening, but he needed some sort of comfirmation that this was not all just in his head. He turned his head to the left while this chakra made sensory ghost was still inside of him; he turned that head far enough to where things seen in his peripheral would appear to be invisible to him. Voltaire recognized what was being planned as soon as he saw those hand seals so he moved behind Clone Blue and held up four fingers. "Don't move your head," Voltaire shouted, "Just tell how many fingers." Clone Blue moved his physical hand to hold up four fingers. "Good job," Voltaire said, purring the words as much as he said them.

| Clone Blue set out a bit into the desert, though he did not take with him his physical body. He walked around the sand as his body fell into it, pacing around Voltaire and the other two Shadow Clones who did not appear to be able to see him, or at least if they could they could not see him very clearly. Nothing would be known for sure until Clone Purple, Clone Blue, and Clone Silver dissipated and their knowledge was joined into that of the original, or when one of them decided to stop messing with him if they could see him because he was really trying to get a reaction out of them. He stuck his middle fingers out as he walked between them. He shouted expletives at the original and the two Shadow Clones when they came over to check on his fallen body. Clone Purple raised his fist to bring it down on Clone Blue and bring him back to the Chakra Pool, but the original Voltaire grabbed his fist and shook his head, knowing that if this had killed him that the clone would have just vanished.

| The Blue Clone felt an unbelievable rage as he looked at the Purple Clone who had just tried to kill him; even if this, his very first day in life, was going to be his last, he would not so easily allow for that time to be taken from him by another of his own kind. In his spirit form he lurched towards Clone Purple, grabbing him tightly. It was at this point he realized that he was not just Chakra moving about and that this was surely not a sensory technique, but actual astral projection. Voltaire had always heard stories about these type of thing being possible from the old tribal people and the elderly story tellers wherever he visited as he traveled as a child. Blue Clone's ephemeral hands passed through the corporeal body of Purple Clone. Blue Clone jolted into the body of Purple Clone and found that he had in some sense become Purple Clone, controlling his body completely. This was no real challenge though and gave pretty poor preparation for the real thing as their minds and bodies were already identical. Clone Blue returned to his body, however, feeling smug in having started the competition that he had just decided was going on with such a bang. "E rank techniques are 1, D rank techniques are 2, C rank techniques are 3, B rank techniques are 5, A rank techniques are 8, and S rank techniques are 10. Let's see who can rack up the most points!" he shouted at the other Voltaires.

| Clone Purple was horribly offended by the invasion of his mind and body by Clone Blue even if they were just training up techniques that would make the whole of them a more powerful unit. But he was made less angry by the fact that there was now a game afoot, and as any Voltaire would tell you every game, especially those announced unfairly, was at its core a chance to earn glory. Clone Purple started to very quickly weave hand seals. Voltaire in all of his carnations normally drew out the process of the hand signs when using a technique for the first time, however there was a competition to be won and this was not some intense technique where a single misplaced finger could lead to the user being permanently maimed. At worst it would lead to one being permanently maned! He quickly weaved tiger, horse, boar, ram, rat, snake. In the name of the performance art aspect of the competition that was not counted but would definitely be noted by all, Clone Purple shouted out, "Tora, Uma, I, Hitsuji, Ne, Mi!"

| Voltaire's insurmountable pride for his appearance was so bountiful that it spread without fail to each of his Shadow Clones, so Clone Purple was going to do something that was not all that classy in hopes of knocking the other three Voltaire's off guard, to show that he was the Voltaire most willing to cast his pride aside in hopes of having more thing in which he could have pride. Clone Purple slowly took off his Sunagakure no Sato head band, gently stroking the purple cloth of the knot that had been left in tact for so long that it had started to tangle in his hair. This technique would be able to fix the side that had to do with his hair, and some good washing would be able to help with the part to do with all of the yellow in his purple headband's ends. Now that his hair was free, he started to move chakra up through his scalp and into that area. Nothing was really working yet, but it did flare up like yellow fire, which was pretty awesome and did make the other Voltaire's offer up little golf claps.

| Clone Purple found that simply pushing the Chakra upwards and near his scalp was not enough to get actual control even if it was more than enough to get the Chakra to his hair. He pulled it back down and in for a moment, allowing his bright blonde locks of hair to fall gently back down around his head. He padded the cap of his skull with that Chakra, soaking his scalp in it instead of just blasting that area with the Chakra. He spread that Chakra out in that deep layer of skin and had it seeking out the follicles, and embedding itself into them. Clone Purple felt like he was making thousands of extremely thin Chakra Threads that ran up and down the lengths of each individual hair, while not letting the follicles go without Chakra themselves. He was still some ways away from perfect control, it was no longer like his hair was being blown upwards by wind, but now his hair swayed by every individual strand as though he had ducked his head under water.

| Clone Purple's many hairs started to do more than just move now that he had reached this level of control over his Chakra. Once he knew the proper avenues to push it down he started to push more and more, so much so that each individual hair got a glow to it for a fraction of a second, the blue of his chakra over top of the blonde of his hair making a brief instant of green. It ebbed and flowed and each strand was containing far more chakra than would normally fit into such a small space. This issue of over packing the Chakra would be one that would prove to be quite self-solving. His hair started to stiffen up considerably; it did not cease to be flexible, but now it was starting to act more and more like wires made of steel and less like hair. It layed flatter for a moment on his head as the weight increased so dramatically and so quickly. And not only was it changing in consistency, it was growing at tremendous speeds. As it grew it made something of an umbrella around him, protecting him from a three hundred sixty degree range of attacks, as well as, of course, from above as it was coming from his head. Once this was complete Clone Silver ran up and started to feel the hair with the back of his hand. Once he was convinced that this would be a proper defense against shinobi tier attacks, Clone Silver walked back slowly, giving a thumbs up to the other Voltaires, who then continued to golf clap as Clone Purple returned his hair back to its previous state.

| Clone Silver had a lot of impressive techniques to try and pick up, but far more importantly he had a lot of very fierce competition to pull out something that the other Voltaires would be most impressed by. All around them were dead animals that were killed just that morning, and not from the harshness of desert existence. Voltaire, before creating the Shadow Clones and setting out to learn an entire new repertoire of Jutsu, had killed a multitude of animals varying in size from insects to an adult male deer. None of these had been bitten into yet, so Clone Silver was going to take full advantage of the limited resources around him. He slowly approached the deer, rubbing his palm on its still side. It had been dead for about an hour, but the desert heat worked fast. Not only was it not yet cold but the heat assured that this was his last chance to get much use out of the body. Clone Silver's idea also could help to keep it a little fresher, or just freak out random people on the streets. He started to pulse his chakra from his warm body to the hot corpse in front of him.

| Clone Silver's Chakra soaked in slowly and gently through the skin of the fallen beast. As Voltaire knew all too well going through the skin when the skin was not point necessary to effect was always an atrocious wait if there was not some sort of an apparatus to inject whatever the medicine or pathogen was. He did not have a syringe, nor did he want to make another cut in the beast as it would make for a less perfect than possible illusion of life. Clone Silver found his opening to make it all go more quickly. When he killed it, Voltaire had punched a hole into its head with a kunai. Clone Silver pressed his palm against the hole in the head and then started to forcefully push his Chakra in. It entered the brain first of course, and from here Voltaire could really get anywhere he wanted to with that Chakra in pretty good time. The brain controlled everything so it had to be connected to everything. That was how mammals in general worked, and all of the hunting he'd had to do just to stay alive had given Voltaire, and by extension Clone Silver, a pretty good concept of how deer anatomy worked.

| Clone Silver's Chakra moved into the brain and then into the brain stem of the fallen deer, and from there it creeped into the rest of the body. It moved through the open wounds in that brain into the veins all the way to the heart, practically instantly. The blue chakra moved into the red blood and it almost felt like he was using something in the Suiton variety. In fact, one could even argue that it was some sort of a water release Ninjutsu, if not for the very important medical aspect, and that it was just about putting motion into all of it. The blood started to circulate fast enough to make the blood pump instead of the other way around where the beating of the heard caused the blood to flow. Very subtle changes started to occur. There were motions that an untrained eye may have even missed. The sides were starting to raise and fall. It was not really breathing, but the Chakra that Clone Silver had over loaded the circulatory system with was starting to filing the lungs and then pull out of them, giving the deer artificial breathe to go along with the artificial pulse.

| Clone Silver had given the appearance of raising the dead, and the appearance would be more than enough to start out with. It looked like it was just enjoying a serene sleep, well at least it looked that way if one were only polite enough to ignore the grievous head wound that had taken its life, but Clone Silver knew all too well that a world that polite would still not be one that he returned to when he came back to the human world. Actually Clone Silver would almost definitely not get to return to anywhere but to the Chakra pool of the original Voltaire, not even getting a body for somebody to make look alive when he died, but these were sad thoughts so back to the deer.
Clone Silver was surely proud of having re-animated the circulatory system, but more important as well as somewhat more difficult he would have to bring life back to the nervous system. He shot the Chakra into the nerves from the brain stem, replacing the tiny electrical pulses that usually created motion with his own Chakra and getting the same reaction as when the deer would have been doing what it was going to do on its own. He had it get up and charge on the original Voltaire antlers first, to prove that he was able to prove his capabilities. Post 4/4 V: 680/730 B: 200/200 S: 150/200 P: 200/200

| Voltaire quickly jolted to the side, barely avoiding being stampeded on by the freshly zombified buck. It was dead, but it was also horribly muscular with antlers strong enough to rip his flesh to ribbons on contact. The deer continued chasing him down but he kept on dodging, even resorting to leaping between its beating hooves out of desperation as the beast crashed towards him. He ran quickly to the right. Shadow Clones Blue and Purple were running around and waving their hands around to try to get the attention of the deer. This of course though did not work because while the deer was moving it was no longer in charge of its own faculties, as it was a dead deer and not a not dead deer who could be distracted by things. Voltaire and the two Shadow Clones who were not attacking him ran in circles more until Clone Silver seemed to no longer know which was which. As soon as it started to follow Clone Purple, Voltaire got low, crouching like a cat. Before he sprung into action he tossed a kunai.

| As the kunai made contact with the intended target Voltaire sprung forward foot first, posed like a real athlete as he flew through the air. Taijutsu had never been that much of a strong suite of Voltaire's, not even of the original Voltaire's who could take a real hit, but all of these years of having to fight for his life against wild monsters had sculpted him into somebody physically far more impressive than the scrawny little boy who had gone into that desert. As he made contact with the ribs of the rampaging zombie buck he kept his leg straight and was rewarded for this. The bones did not just break, they shattered like glass while Voltaire's leg was left largely unharmed. The impact was a little much and he did not land all that gracefully as he hit the sand, but the deer was no longer a problem.

| “What do you we do about points if it is a joint technique?” Clone Blue asked. All three Shadow Clones stared at Voltaire as they awaited an answer.
“Points to the person who came up with it!” Voltaire shouted. Shadow Clone Blue looked ecstatic, and then he jumped into action.
“Four man barrier formation, go, now!” Shadow Clone Blue shouted, and the other three, to his great shock, capitulated. They did not have to walk in the lines or obsessively count each of their paces with the technique to be used this time. All four of them stood from a great distance facing a focal point in the center of the four Voltaires while putting up their palms, ready to create a wall far more powerful than the last one that they'd made.

| Voltaire and the three helpers that he had created all knew just what to do. They slowly send pulses of hot but not quite fire release chakra from their hands, making sure that it extended outward like a ripple and not like an aggressive blast. The radius of the ripples did not follow a particularly flat surface, in fact it was somewhat more curved than their last wall, something all four of them noticed well before there was a physical form for any of them to look at. The Chakra of all four Voltaires started to cut through the sand as the basic shape that would later become the wall was formed. There was a great swirling speed about it, but it was so precise that only the intial burst kicked up any of the sands. The Chakra first circled and then it climbed up, grabbing up the sky and reaching nearly high enough to trap the clouds within once the true corporeal nature was revealed.

| With a terrifying burst of power the chakra wall started to grow, not only was it physical, but it was a supreme force to be reckoned with and it was now at all forty of his nimble finger tips. It was a horribly solid wall and his skin felt like he was pressing it against smooth glass. It was really a spiritual experience as his Chakra slowly trickled into the expansive barrier. Each side of it was easily a kilometer or maybe even just a little bit more. And as far as the height it was easily taller than the lengths of any of the walls.
It looked like it should give off some terrifying heat, but from Voltaire's side it was cool to the touch. Maybe it felt like it looked on the inside, because it looked like it was maybe made up out of fire or something akin to that. It was red and had the pattern of fire, but it was frozen in time, solid, static. It was pretty bizarre, but definitely reminded Voltaire of the Four Violet Flames Formation. But it was definitely a lot more powerful.

| The wall had already been constructed, but now the degree to which it could be manipulated was to be experimented with before they lost their grasp on the mighty construction. Voltaire could feel all of what was around him, and all that was built into the wall. Voltaire tried to manipulate the part of the wall that was opposite around him, in front of Clone Purple, but he could not make it work. Clone Purple looked across the space of the barrier to catch eyes with the original and then he realized what he should do. Clone Purple started to manipulate the space that Voltaire had tried to, opening up a small hell just next to the corner. Voltaire then tried to open up a space near where he was standing himself, and he found that he was able to do more than just open a small hole. He could open a few small holes, even across the corner.
The shape could be slightly warped, the surface area could be increased or decreased, new holes could be created, those holes could be so very quickly closed up, it would allow for them to put things into the field to poison or blow up the enemy, or if they were to create something too strong for the wall to withstand they could allow for the power of the technique to be released while those imprisoned could only be freed if they tried to jump into that devastating power. As each released the technique, Voltaire and his shadow clones quickly realized that they had gotten a hold of something maddeningly powerful.

| Clone Silver formed a fist with his right hand and then put the left hand flat on top of that fist, and then he raised up the pointer and middle fingers of one hand and then wrapped his other hand around those fingers, finally he pressed his palms together, wrapping his fingers together with his pointer fingers and middle fingers pointing up at the sky. "Inu, Ne, Tora!" the shadow clone shouted as the Katon chakra started to build up inside of and around him. The heat was built up within him quickly, showing his experience with this element.
Voltaire, Clone Purple, and Clone Blue looked in a bit of confusion at Clone Silver, and then at one another as they tried to piece together why he had not yet done whatever came next in the usage of this Jutsu. Clone Silver stared holes that burned brighter than the fire hew as to release at the other two shadow clones until they stood to either side of Clone Silver, cautiously repeating those hand signs.

| Clone Silver was growing extremely uncomfortable as the heat was starting to lick his insides and burn him from the inside out, and he knew that there was a fine line between a great discomfort and the type of damage that would dispel a Shadow Clone before he got the chance to finish what he had been brought into existence for. Seeing that the other two shadow clones had gotten into a position to do their jobs, Clone Silver pursed his lips and fire slowly started to leak out from in between them. At first it was a short fire plume that instantly flowered out, and from the center of it shot a beam of great heat that ignited the air as it passed it. Clones Purple and Blue pursed their lips and shot out jets of fire of equal power that then met with the first one, creating a much larger jet of scorching devastation. Voltaire quickly jumped out of the way, looking very much irritated that his Shadow Clones had seemingly aimed that at him on purpose. Clone Silver looked terribly amused by what he had done.
