[Flashback] Finding the Apocalypse

The air was massively thick with tension. As it usually was when the Uchiha was summoned to the Mizukages chamber. There was an immediate emergency, something had happened that needed quick instruction. Sato got the call on his radio and was there in only a few minutes. The Mizukage was there with another Elder and they were quiet and solemn. This boded ill.

They were to wait for the partner chosen for this mission. There were some other Jounin and ANBU already on missions in other parts of the country. They were hard pressed for higher rank nin. But the Mizukage had someone in mind.

It felt good to Ozai, to know that the Mizukage was calling on him to be an addition to an S ranked mission. It wasn't every day that someone got to potentially save the village or deal with something on such a massive scale. Ozai entered the Mizukage's chambers making sure to bow his head in respect as he approached the group. Such an odd combination the Kage, and elder and an Uchiha. Everywhere you went bad blood surround the Uchiha name similar to that which clouded the Hidden Mist. What a perfect fit Ozai thought to himself giving the Uchiha a look over, it was his first time meeting one...he was curious. Not only did he get to partake in a higher level mission he would get a first-hand experience of an Uchiha's battle prowess.

When he reached the group Ozai once bowed again specifically to the kage. "Pleasure to make your acquaintances sorry if i'm late, but I am prepared."

The Hoshigaki. This would be an interesting mission it turned out. He gave his respects to Lord Mizukage and the elder, also greeting Satomi as well. The Uchiha nodded replying, "You are just on time." With that it was a short introduction but they were in the presence of the council.

"Good. Lets get down to business," the elder said "We need you to take on a mission that demands immediate attention.

"A dangerous weapon known as Apocalypse has been reported to been secretly sold somewhere within the Village. They are a weak organization however with this weapon they would potentially be unstoppable. They are reportedly moving it with 5 strong ninjas. However their ringleader is the true threat. We know his true purposes and he needs to be watched. His name remains unknown but he remains an S rank missing ninja. Find and destroy the weapon, and if you can. The leader as well. Now begone!"

"Are there any leads as to where this organization makes camp? Or exactly what were looking for? I am looking forward to the challenge of an S rank missing-nin personally I have yet to experience such competition and it will show me where my abilities lie." Looking to Satomi "The name is Ozai pleasure to be your partner during this mission. Do you yourself have any idea as to where we should start?
I can follow your lead if you wish?" he said with nothing but respect extending out a fist to the man. From the look in his eye you could tell he was battle ready and even though he was missing a sword the man still made an excellent ninja. "I can't say i've heard of your accomplishments nor would I expect you to know of me, but together I think we can topple this organization and bring back the weapon safely." Looking to the kage and elder he bowed his head to both before beginning to make his way from the kage's chamber.

"Are there any leads as to where this organization makes camp? Or exactly what were looking for? I am looking forward to the challenge of an S rank missing-nin personally I have yet to experience such competition and it will show me where my abilities lie." "The name is Ozai pleasure to be your partner during this mission. Do you yourself have any idea as to where we should start?
I can follow your lead if you wish?"

The Jounin had many questions it seemed. He even extended a fist out as they exited the office. Sato extended a fist out as well and pounded them. He was open at least. "The name is Satomi Uchiha. I belong to ANBU so if you haven't heard of me. Good. I have no wish to combat an S rank ninja within the village, it will pose a problem if we can't go all out. But I have an idea."

They disappeared in a flash, but were moving at such high speeds it seemed as such. They went to the roof of the Hokage tower. And Satomi pointed to the streets from their vantage point. "We know what we're looking for now. We know they are only on foot and the weapon they have must be huge. The closest known hang spot leading to the underworld is about a mile...that way. We've picked up someone from there before. We'll head that way and scout from the rooftops. They'll be near empty roads with no guards but we have to get them before they take tunnel out the city."

Satomi began to move towards east end of the village leading towards one of the many hidden entrances to the underworld.

It seemed to Ozai that Satomi must've been around the block a few times, it came as no surprise considering he was one of the few hunter-nin. He was also right about not being able to go full gear in the village, that would be such a catastrophe and the exact opposite of what they were supposed to do. They bounced from rooftop to rooftop performing reconnaissance looking for a suspicious group was hard than it seemed. "If I do recall correctly last time I had checked a few weeks ago there was a fight between our guards and rogue shinobi. They blew a hole in our wall very close to the most eastern watchtower. I had investigated it but couldn't manage to find any trace of the ninja lets head there first." Ozai pointed even farther than they had gone east, to where the ocean meets the village, before taking off leaving a poor image where he sat. When they would land he would walk up and run his hand along the blown wall. "If I were looking to escort something out of the village this would definitely be the place I would do it.

Satomi had a good look around. He was pretty good at pointing out traps. As a hunter-ninja he was well adept at finding and setting traps. "I have a feeling you are correct. This looks like it should be guarded but they have paid it no mind because it leads to the backwoods." However it seemed as if they had gotten the jump on their prey. For he saw a group led by a carriage.

"That's our cue." Satomi quickly jumped down to the ground and on the opposing wall he slapped two exploding seals. When they turned the corner they would get a nasty surprise. He looked to Ozai to stand ready to attack on top of the rooftop, while stayed on the ground as a distraction, halting them in the trap. He wanted to take out as many enemies as possible in one swell swoop since they were outnumbered. Whomever survived would be picked off. He wanted their focus and strength on the S rank ninja.

Ozai watched as Satomi also dropped down and began to do his own thing to the wall. He disappeared behind one side and then came back in a matter of seconds. Unsure of what he had done Ozai just followed the man's direction and quickly hopped back to the rooftop preparing an assault of his own. "I'm going to cause a heavy fog to roll in it will affect your sharingan, but do you no harm just do your best to focus on the enemy ninja." With that being said Ozai then flicked through a few seals and out from his mouth a heavy fog rolled. After a few minutes, the dense fog would easily fill the area and make it difficult for the organization to move the carriage hopefully leading them directly into Satomi's trap. When the trap gets sprung Ozai himself would spring his own trap in hopes to easily eradicate the enemy force and move in for a few kills to add to his list. After flicking a few more seals Ozai began to knead water and chakra within his mouth preparing to finish off those that Satomi doesn't.

The trap was set. Quick and easy they located the targets and brought them to an area free of civilians. So they only had to wait a few minutes before the gang turned the corner and suddenly came to a pause. From their point of view they just ran into the most worst possible outcome. Standing only a few meters stepping out of the mist. Was a ANBU Hunter-Nin.

Immediately they were alarmed as they had been found out. Before the leader or anyone could utter another word. Satomi held up a seal with his right hand, activating his exploding seals. Two blasts bellowed out destroying the wall adjacent to the ninjas. Most of them reacted well enough to jump back but two Sato saw was indeed caught in the blast radius and both pushed the weapon backwards on the carrier to the ground.

They were aware they were under attack now. The ringleader stepped forward brazenly and angrily. "You've done it now. I bet you've never felt the wrath of a Kaguya. Or you wouldn't have been this stupid!"

Sato ignoring the threats signaled to Ozai verbally, "Now!"

A tad bit of water leaked from Ozai's mouth as he watched the destruction that the paper bombs brought. What a bunch of fools he thought as he watched two ninja fail to save themselves and the rest begin to panic because they were ambushed. Ozai knew that half of winning the war was a mind game and it was obvious Satomi had taken the cake. The weapon had fallen and the leader stupidly presented themselves to Satomi and Ozai. As soon as Ozai heard the word "now" he unleashed hell from above spitting out a multitude of water bullets similar in size to an arrowhead towards the rest of the lackeys. Retorting to the Kaguya "You act like your name give you some special place in life have you ever dealt with a Hoshigaki before?" Ozai snarled before jumping down beside Satomi with such force he left a mini crater in the ground with his landing. Taking a readied stance beside Satomi "What are we going to do now?" he said nodding towards the obviously outraged Kaguya in front of them.

Ozai came blazing in killing two more of the ninja in their surprise attack. Leaving only two ninja left. The henchmen and the leader. Answering Ozai as he unsheathed his Katana. "We kill that one," Satomi said head gesturing towards the Kaguya. He wasn't just gonna let them stroll out of here with the weapon without a fight. This was there chance to finally be rid of him but that was no easy task. As the leader set out to prove true, he inhaled quickly without handsigns, and exhaled a giant blast of wind shot towards them. They put their hands up, unperturbed by the attack however they saw it wasn't aimed at them.

But at the mist surrounding them, dispelling it all around them. "Now lets fight." One of the henchman said making handsigns, aiming his attack at the Hoshigaki. The Kaguya leader could be heard saying, "Dance of the Willow." Bones began protruding all over his body. With the mist gone. Satomi could go all out.

Sharingan! The Uchiha activated his eyes and instantly sought to catch them in a Genjutsu should they charge them. Sato noticed that Ozai knew Water release so he was perfect in this attack. "Ozai send a water technique when I attack." Satomi performed his handsigns just as quickly, shouting, "Lightning Release: Thunderbolt." He threw his hands out and streams of electricity shot out towards both of the combatants.

That was all Ozai needed to know as Satomi pointed his sword directly at the Kaguya. This was where the real fun started those henchmen were just a warm up. He watched with distraught as the Kaguya had exhaled a harsh wind blowing away all of his mist from the battlefield. You dumb bastard was all Ozai could think as the henchmen said something he couldn't quite make out, but it was obvious that he was forming hand seals. As bones began to sprout from the Kaguyas body one by one Satomi shouted about his eyes and flicked a few hand signs of his own calling out for a water technique. So Ozai would answer the man with a few signs of his own. "Water Release: Five Feeding Sharks" he shouted swinging his arm closest to Satomi towards the Kaguya. Utilizing the water remaining in the air from his mist jutsu Ozai was able to send 5 sharks barreling down on the enemies. Ozai watched as the lightning merged with the sharks radiating around their forms as they closed in on the target. Nearly forgetting about the henchmen Ozai called out to Satomi "I'm going to deal with him" pointing at the lacky before taking off with immense speed and running on the walls between them.

The attack was augmented where it would do much more damage. Two B-Rank jutsus combined to make a deadly lightning shark jutsu. The henchmen however was very quick on the attack and finished his handseals which took quite sometime Satomi noticed. He slammed his hands on the ground and there was a flash on the ground. "Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!"

A wall of earth shot forward to block the oncoming attacks. However the lightning attack was already weakness to the wall. The the sharks broke through the wall and blasted the surprised ninja and the Kaguya jumped out of the way. That left only the Kaguya. Sato focused his eyes on the leader.

What a moron Kaiju thought as the henchmen spouted off an earth jutsu causing a large earthy wall to form directly in front of them. It was common knowledge in the shinobi world that Raiton beat Doton especially when infused with Suiton. So caught up in what a fool the lacky was Ozai forget all about the collision of the jutsu and was hit with a large hunk of earth knocking him from the wall. He landed next to the now lifeless body of the lacky. In only a few seconds his mind had came up with a plan for him to potentially disorientate the Kaguya. Standing up taking only a millisecond to brush the dust from himself he gripped the dead body "Hey Satomi get ready!" He shouted as he quickly spun in a circle releasing the body in the direction of the Kaguya. He hoped with all the sharp bones sticking out of the man that the body would be pierced in many spots sticking to the Kaguya and slow him down. His hands went through a few seals as he prepared a jutsu just incase his plan failed. "Hit him with something really hard" he once again shouted to Satomi.

The S rank ninja was true to his name as his armor more than hard enough to take a hit. So he was ready for any move that was ready to be thrown at him. They had to catch them unawares. But it looked like he was not aware of whom he was battling. His Sharingan eyes were concentrated on the Kaguya who had his attention on the Hoshigaki. His eyes were ready to prepare a devastating attack in the wake of the situation they put him in.

But he made a fatal mistake. He looked at Satomi. The ANBU's eyes caught the Kaguya's and instantly put him under a Genjutsu. In the mind of the leader. The world turned black and he was tied to a crucifix. The world was different and dark and foreboding. His arms and legs were nailed into the crucifix without discrimination.

The torture was unreal, but how was this possible! He could never be apprehended. In the real world Satomi was crouched down as he was about to take off at full speed. With a stunned Kaguya entangled in a Genjutsu, his neck amongst the many spikes was exposed for a second.

Satomi had his Katana exposed to his left and dashed forward covering the distance between them in a second. He whipped his high up and swung it sideways towards the Kaguyas exposed neck.

It was pretty clear that when the kaguya's eyes left Ozai's and its attention moved to Satomi's that the battle was lost. Avoiding looking the Uchiha in the eyes himself Ozai had never been caught in a genjutsu and didn't plan on it anytime soon. He wondered what exactly would happen to one when trapped in a genjutsu and the effects it would have on the mental state. With the fight pretty much over he was watching as Satomi launched full speed with aim at the kaguya's neck. Satomi was going to behead the man. It would be more effective if Ozai was to help with the beheading so Ozai took off himself. He was able to keep up being one of the fastest ninja in the village and he jumped. Forcing himself to rotate Ozai grabbed the Kaguya's head as he flipped over it easily ripping it from its place when Satomi's sword pierced the neck. Landing in a crouching position a large thump could be heard as the headless body hit the ground. "I think were done here Satomi."

The Kaguya had been beheaded in a terrible fashion, caught in the Genjutsu so suddenly and no henchmen being there to bail him out. The swords point cut right at the base and Ozai appeared suddenly ripping the mans head off. Satomi skidded across the ground as the body fell to the ground just as quickly. "I think were done here Satomi," Ozai said casually. Although a head was dripping in his arms.

Satomi looked towards the Apocalypse weapon in the carrier. It was slightly battered but not enough for the Uchiha's standards. A formed just a few handsigns, and aimed his head towards to carrier. "Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

A stream of fire directed by a hand of Sato's, it blasted the carrier and there was a huge explosion. The blast shot a weak shockwave against the Kiri-nin. The carrier was burned to ashes. "Now we are done. Lets get his body back. I'm curious about the Kaguya now."

It was probably a good idea that Satomi had destroyed the weapon because even if they returned it to their Kage who knows what the plans were for it. The kage was probably expecting some sort of report by now. Ozai stole the shirt from one of the dead henchman wrapping the head up in it. He didn't think it was a good idea to walk through town with a head dripping blood. "I'll meet you at the kage's chambers Satomi, it was nice to work with you and even better that the mission was successful who knows the number of lives we just saved." Ozai patted the Uchiha on the back of the shoulder before disappearing in a burst of speed. When he would arrive at the Mizukage's tower he would take the Kaguya's head in with him and place it on the Mizukage's desk before giving a full mission debriefing to the kage and elder. When they finished their debriefing he would bow his head in respect then head to his home.
