Mister Egg was one curious individual, with a strange child, or so she had heard. Mister Steven was another story. With such an odd name that reflected nothing of their language or culture, one could only be suspicious, right?

Luckily, his daughter was a gentle soul, and almost the same age as the young Genin who was being paid to babysit her. It did surprise Yin that such a girl even required a babysitter, at her age and with her personality. However, the redhead decided it was best not to question it. Rumor had it that the mission was only created to help youthful shinobi like herself; and she did not mind the free boost in reputation it would give her, despite the mission being so easy.

After a few hours of idle conversation with the girl, while ensuring she was not to leave the house-- despite her having little interest in the very idea-- the mission proved to be running smoothly. Eventually, the ten o clock hour came, and Yin quietly waited as the girl prepared for bed. In under ten minutes, Mister Steven’s daughter was in bed, and quickly dozing off. Ha, early bedtimes. At least this assisted her, however, and there would be a ryo reward to go along with it.

A notice from an elderly woman who had misplaced an object-- these missions were slowly getting more and more tedious. When would she get to the action? This was perhaps the closest she would get to it, but only if it turned out that the locket was stolen and not actually missing. However, she doubted such a thing. The woman seemed like one who was scatterbrained enough to misplace just about anything, or at least forget where she had last put them.

Yin spent the day looking around the woman’s house. She managed to find many other lockets, but the woman would declare that they were not the ones she was looking for. She looked around outside, but found nothing except a few odd broken trinkets here and there, as well as gardening tools meant for harvesting the unique vegetable-- the blueberry.

Growing tired of the tedious chore, Yin was nearing giving up. So what, she would lose out on a bit of money and a lot of time, but surely nobody else could find it. As she went to approach the woman about abandoning the mission, however, the redhead noticed the locket hanging from the old woman’s neck. It seemed to perfectly match the description that had been given to her. Curiously, the Genin inquired about it, instigating the woman to reach down for the locket, open it, and smile as she recognized the picture of her and her late husband. It had been on her neck the whole time… talk about a wasted day. Nevertheless, the woman was thankful, and eagerly paid the girl for her time and trouble.
