Earth Release?! Swamp of the Underworld! {Training} {Flashback}

      Suzume stood in her backyard, the cold morning air hit against her skin as she focused her energy; pouring in as much charka as she possibly could as she moved her hands up, first the boar symbol, then tiger in rapid succession. Waiting for a moment, hoping for the ground under her to become softer, more like mud... But nothing happened. She sighed, and sat down, perhaps she needed something more? She bit her bottom lip, frustrated and angered. She wanted to get this done right, but at the same time she hated not being able to properly master something right off the bat, but now with taking her break, she wanted to make sure she could learn all the jutsu she had been holding off on.

      Suzume crossed her legs, focussing once more, boar, then tiger. This time she pushed herself, taking a deep breath and as visualized the ground surrounding her soften, and slowly turning into mud; just the area around where she was sitting, about four feet long and four feet wide, if she could get even a small circle to turn into mud, she would be half way there. She breathed deeper, putting most of her energy into the jutsu, focusing on her Earth Release as she did so, feeling the charka turning inside of her, she began to vibrate slightly, her breathing steady and focused as she moved her hands in a steady but slow motion, she knew that this jutsu was going to be one of the more difficult ones to learn and she needed to be ready for the long run of getting it down. First boar, then tiger. Each sign received just a little bit more charka then the last she tried. But to no avail.


      Suzume stood up, frustrated slightly; she couldn't understand why she was unable to do such a small spot. As she wandered over to a small bushel of branches that had been cut down from one of the trees, she groaned. She needed to take a different approach to this training, as it was something she had never done before, and the magnitude of the jutsu wasn't going to be as quick as the others. Suzume moved the branches from side to side, she needed to find the right stick for the job she needed. Eventually she found it, the perfect length and width, she returned to the open dirt, and drew and even smaller circle, around two feet long and two feet wide.

      She would then place a smaller but rounder stick that she had found in the center of the circle she had just drawn. She then cracked her knuckles; after that she cracked her neck and closed her eyes. Focusing, closely on the circle she had drawn... "Deep breath... Deep breath..." She kept chanting inside of her head, she began to visualize the small circle turning becoming wet, then turning into mud, just a small area of the small circle first, then she would visualize it growing to fill the circle; as she did this she would move her hands, once more into the boar; then tiger. Opening her eyes to see that once more, it wouldn't work.

      Several hours would pass, along with many more attempts, again all of these failing as the before ones had, around two in the morning Suzume would finally give up, and head inside hoping for tomorrow training session to have better luck.
