THE RANK AND TIER-UP GUIDE
You may be wondering, "How do I increase my rank or tier from where I started?" the answer is simple. You use experience to buy it, or you participate in exam events! NINJA RANK INCREASES - Genin -> Chuunin:
Becoming a Chuunin is done through taking part in the Chuunin exams, a big event often hosted by two or more villages where genin go through a variety of tests to show they are capable of becoming Chuunin. Alternatively a Genin can be promoted with the Kage's approval although they cannot formally request this, only getting it if another peer of higher rank puts their name forward for review.
- Chuunin -> Jounin:
For a Chuunin to become member of the Jounin they must pass a Jounin exam which is incredibly difficult and hard to pass. Jounin exams are hosted internally instead of as an international affair like the Chuunin exams however if a Kage deems it worthy a Chuunin can be given a probational period as a Special Jounin which is a time where they will work and prove to the Kage that they are jounin material acting as a go around instead of the jounin exams although a Special Jounin doesn't have the same authority as a Jounin.
- Joining ANBU:
In order to join the ANBU one must apply or in some cases they are approached to join the ANBU, however the Kage or ANBU Commander must sign off to this recruitment into the dark sector of village affairs. Joining the ANBU is a very loose process as one can join as early as Chuunin as an apprentice or initiate. In most situations there is a test that must be passed in order to be initiated, this test is often created by the Kage or ANBU Commander.
- Commander Positions:
In the five major villages most have positions such as Jounin Commander, ANBU Commander and some others dependent on the villages. Commanders are the experienced ninja that commander certain areas of the village and manage them so the Kage doesn't have their hands full. In the case of the Jounin commander they are the commander of all active ninja in the village, all the way down to Genin while the ANBU Commander would manage the ANBU Black Ops. These positions require for a character to be formally promoted by the Kage to take the role and in some cases they can create a test at their own discretion.
- Becoming Kage/Village Head:
To become the Kage one requires to be an active member of the site for at least a month before staff will consider you for this role, it should also be noted that on the site the Kage is the leadership authority of their lands due to a lack of Daimyo in the site's plot. The second reason why the Kage positions are not given away is due to the responsibility that comes with them as the Kage will be moderators of their own boards that are their lands and are in charge of organising the affairs such as missions, political affairs IC and also exams like the Chuunin exams.
NINJA TIER INCREASES In order to increase one's tier, you must spend experience! It costs an increasingly large sum of experience the higher your tier gets. From D-3 to D-1 it costs 1,000 Exp (Per Tier) From C-3 to C-1 it costs 3,000 Exp (Per Tier) From B-3 to B-1 it costs 7,000 Exp (Per Tier) From A-3 to A-1 it costs 10,000 Exp (Per Tier) From S-3 to S-1 it costs 15,000 Exp (Per Tier) THINGS GAINED VIA TIER UP For each tier up the user gains additional stats points to distribute as they please, as well as with each jump from a lower ranking to a higher ranking (EXAMPLE. E- D-3, D-3 to D-1... etc.) the user gains one skill increase in the area of their choosing.
