| - Mission Details:
Name: Test some Food Location: Mr.Egg’s Shop Rank: D Team: N/A Client: Mr.Egg Rewards: 200 xp and 500 ryo Description: He requires you to eat some of his food and give an honest review. He’s willing to pay you for your time.
So she had finally been placed on a team within the last couple of days, and the identity of her captain would have been notable to her if Akira wasn't such a 'homebody' currently it was lost to the girl though. However, today she wasn't taking any mission with her team, instead, she was ending up with another task that while she wasn't taking alone, neither her team-mate Bet nor her instructor Rei had been assigned to it alongside her, so she was going to be meeting a complete stranger again! The last time she had met someone strange it had been Fumiko, so at least she had known the identity of the stranger. At the moment, Akira was praying she would get lucky and run into someone else she had passively taken note of on this mission. Working with those sorts of people? Happened to be much easier than someone whose eye color she couldn't even name. Only time would tell who she ended up working with though. Around the lunch hour would be when she finally arrived at the location Mr.Egg had detailed in the mission papers, gazing about as she slowed her walking to look for anyone else. Once the small girl had spotted her client? Akira swiftly walked over, a book, this one seemingly on food, held in her arms carefully pressed against the crimson dress fabric against her chest. Yet, even once she had reached the client, she didn't say anything. What was she supposed to say! This wasn't as if it was some academy test, right now she knew how to deal with clients should have been part of the studying because she was entirely lost.

| Zaida had been out training, throwing more of the kunai around at the training grounds to practice piercing through armor and the body of things not meant to be struck through with kunai, mere minutes ago. It was an easy thing to practice that required no real strenuous activity other than the occasional wedged in blade that she had to pull a bit harder on to remove from a training dummy. When she had realized it was close to the time to meet for the 'food tasting' that Mr. Egg had been asking for she had simply put away the kunai she had been using and went for a swift walk to the location. It would not take her long to arrive, carrying nothing that would slow her down in the slightest, and she would reach the shop just in time to see a girl walk in ahead of her. She was in pretty, red-colored, clothing and seemed to be carrying something that was either a book or papers.
Following her inside, Zaida would see her walk up to the counter as if she was here for a good reason other than to order food as well. A light cough, one for gaining attention, would be made before she paused as her eyes and brain registered her image. "Well, long time no see. Weren't you in the class behind me at the academy? My name is Zaida Yuwaku, pleased to officially meet you. You here for the taste test as well?" Having recognized the girl that was a year behind her, Zaida introduced herself while they awaited Mr. Egg's presence so he could seat them and send them their food.

| Any practicing that Akira had been committing herself to performing outside of missions recently? Was the super top secret kind she performed to advance her skills in handling swords. Maybe it was idiotic and illogical, but she didn't want anyone to catch her doing it until she was ready to show off, didn't want anyone to know if she failed to exceed them within the art. Luckily she didn't have to think too much about any of that right now, she was set to finish this mission at the moment.
Soon enough something appeared to interrupt her 'one track mind' actually it was someone, and she once more wondered why this mission had required two people, as now she had to interact with two people she normally wouldn't. At the very least, the 'interruption' was someone she had taken note of the past, prior to the other girl's graduation from the academy. Zaida was not only here but seemed to recognize her, which was surprising since Fumiko had not and she often filed the two girls off together within her brain, not that she allocated very much of her mental capacity to them. "Yes." what was she supposed to do? Suddenly, she had the brilliant idea of shutting up and letting the older girl do every single bit of talking, that was sure to go fantastically. Of course, she had also not properly responded to Zaida herself, but that didn't bother Akira too much. It wasn't like the other kid was important to her or anything, after all.

| Well, this girl was just a little bit rude, was she not? Zaida had introduced herself to someone else in the village, someone that she had seen in the academy, and she had given a single answer before just kind of trailing off into her own thoughts. No name introductions, no surprise that she remembered her, not even an acknowledgment that Zaida had even said anything else other than stuff involving the taste testing they were both here to do! A sole word was just something extremely bitchy sounding, especially after being proposed multiple questions! Was the yes about her in the academy? Was it for the taste testing? Was the yes even geared towards her? Well, if she was going to be like that maybe she should mess with her!
Well then, Uchiha. Looks like we're for the same thing then I assume." It wasn't hard to figure out the last name, not when she had the eyes that basically gave it away. If she was not going to give a name she would just use her last name until she came up with something else to use for her. Maybe Miko knew the girl, then she could just get a name from her! Soon after she said this, Mr. Egg would appear and thank them for showing up before showing them to their seats, directly across from each other at the same table. Well, this seemed like it was going to be fun!

| Almost anyone within the village could easily consider the young woman rather weird if they didn't consider her downright rude, due to the way she 'interacted' with others around her. Honestly, the one-word response she had given to Zaida was not too unusual and most people in the village who even remembered who she was, didn't expect anything else from her. Actually? Zaida had gotten more then some people managed to get from the small Uchiha, sometimes she didn't even speak to another person, most times she didn't even look at the other villagers when going about her business! Often, she just resorted to being in her own world when it wasn't another of her group.
When the older girl spoke again, being 'remembered' so clearly was disconcerting for Akira, she was normally just the blurry shape standing in her sibling's shadow! The small girl didn't want to be 'known' yet because she had nothing good for other's to know. Speaking not a single word when they were lead to sat down, she simply took her seat at the table and opened her book as Mr.Egg walked off. If the other girl bothered being nosey? The book was easily seen to be an 'art of cooking' sort, the female's optics scanning over it and then glancing to see where the man was cooking. Once she had looked, Akira glanced back to her mission partner "He didn't even wash his hands or the vegetables." she fell silent again after making her comment, going back to reading her book, flipping the page to one clearly about proper cooking temperature, attire and flame control.

| Urg, Zaida was really not liking how this mission was going already. The Uchiha underclassmen would not say anything to her even after she had said her last name. Why the hell was she not doing any kind of conversation when they were now working together? Did she not understand that conversation was an important thing when working together? Maybe she had not done any kind of teamwork-related stuff or just had some kind of learning disorder or was a late bloomer when it came to social situations and such. After sitting down Zaida would notice the title of the book her partner, for the time being, was holding. 'The Art of Cooking,' had she really bought a book about how to cook to a food tasting thing? Was she trying to get them kicked out by insulting the guy? Her answer to that would be answered quickly, this girl in front of her mentioning that he had not washed his hands nor the vegetables.
"Well, that is kind of gross. We'll have to keep that in mind to let the Kage know." Zaida wanted to say more to the girl, but she was unsure as to exactly what to talk about. The female of the Uchiha clan seemed more interested in her lesson book instead of doing anything else. Maybe she would talk to her about the food once it actually got her. Yeah, something about the job to get the conversation started seemed appropriate. It wasn't the icebreaker she preferred, but it would be the one that she would use to try and get this girl speaking more than single word answers and complaints about others.

| Akira had never really understood the importance of conversation with people outside of her family, much less people outside of the Uchiha Clan due to how much she had been dotted on, any companionship she ever needed until recently came directly from familial routes or her pet. How was she supposed to know most of the world considered verbal communication an important skill or activity? Really, she had no way to know, at least not the way she saw things, the child just wanted to go back home and sword train, cook, clean, or do something that let her interact with her parents or siblings. Yet, she was stuck here doing this mission with another girl, who was too nosy and loud for her own good.
The teenager who was too short to have her legs even touch the floor from her seat, didn't even consider the fact her book could be offensive, because insulting people wasn't the forefront of her mind unless she disliked them and she didn't really dislike anyone she just didn't care for anyone outside her clan. "Very gross." Any slight comment was not made while looking at Zaida but rather with her 'nose' in the book, night shaded optics reading the pages carefully. Reading her book was far more comfortable then regarding the partner she had on this mission, especially with how the other girl even easily recalled which Clan she was from, Akira was the one who remembered small things about other's, but she didn't like other's remembering those same things about her too much.

| The other girl remained quiet, not really saying anything still, and thus Zaida's mind would begin to wander as they waited for their food. What was the food they would be trying? Would she be getting some ramen and dumplings? If that happened this guy was in for a bad review! Miko's mother made MUCH better ramen and dumplings than anyone else that cooked in this village. Getting from another place would just leave her disappointed in what she was eating and give a review that would leave Mr. Egg upset with what she would say about it. Maybe it would be beef and vegetables, or even some kind of stirfry. Zaida had come to this hungry and was able to look past a few gross things as long as he cooked it properly afterward. Boiling the vegetables first and then straining them would remove the dirt as well, and was a common thing to do if one were adding them to a mixed food dish.
The Uchiha child would only say a single comment again, never even looking up from her book, and Zaida frowned a bit as she tried to figure out the girl in front of her. She knew some people were snobby, but she had yet to meet someone like this. Most at least tried to be polite in public. This girl? It seemed like she wanted to do nothing more than snub those around her and keep her nose in a book. A poor genin, and not likely to improve past that if she remained the way she was. How would she get the proper teamwork training needed for most missions if she had no want to do anything social? It was a puzzle not likely to be solved in a day, and she really did not feel like wondering on it anymore. "Well, I don't know about you right now, but I'm hungry. Hopefully whatever he cooks up is appetizing."

| "If you don't like what he gives you, just go to Hoppe ga ochiru afterward." there was a comment gotten, but once more it was something that could easily be considered rude if overheard. Alongside the potential insulting content? It had also not been very well directed nor crafted, and Akira had kept right on reading her book as she spoke softly.
Mr.Egg finally brought the food he had cooked out, after making them wait for what felt like far too long of a time, especially since both girls had come here hungry considering it was a good tasting mission. The meal placed before them was Ramen and Dumplings of some sort. Was the dude really doing this? Everyone knew that the 'best ramen and dumpling shop in town' title was already occupied! Apparently, this was no joke, her blank gaze looking to Zaida before glancing at Mr.egg and back again, without a doubt she already knew this meal would suck and she was guessing her job partner was liking thinking the same considering the fact they were both no stranger to Hoppe ga ochiru.
Akira really didn't want to eat what she had been presented but she was on a mission and thus the girl knew she was going to anyways. Tentatively she picked up some of the noodles and managed to somehow convince herself to stomach them all down even though they were nothing in comparison to the place she normally ate from. Lastly, she came to his new item on the menu 'fall surprise' dumplings, eating one she instantly realized something was not right with them but forced herself to eat the rest of them, figuring out while doing so that they were potato with zucchini and squid dumplings, terrible idea really. "I wouldn't add them to the Menu." her comment came directly after she finished and pushed the plate far away from herself. Akira picked up her book after being paid, walked out the door and turned in the direction of Hoppe ga ochiru, she needed some good food to wash that down, she needed some real ramen from the best shop in town!

| Her words would actually receive a response this time! It was a miracle! She really did manage to speak in full sentences! She DID understand what people were saying around her! Barely, but it was possible! "Well, I go there all the time. Would be rude of me not to go to the place run by my best friends mom! But this is paying money, so I doubt they're gonna care that I came along. And I might learn something for them to not do, which is a good thing as well!" Shortly after saying this. Mr. Egg would come out with their food. It had taken longer than she was used to at the Hoppe Ga Ochiru, but that was to be expected when you were comparing to the best place in the village. The meal looked very similar to something she was used to eating at her friend's place all the time; dumpling and ramen.
"Hoo boy, this is gonna be a tough one to judge without bias. Well, might as well do it for the money." Chopsticks would be obtained and the food would be eaten, and it was not good food at all. The ramen was a bit overdone and underseasoned for the broth, and it was kind of plain in the end. The dumplings were a mix of potato, zucchini, and squid. While she was a fan of all three of those, they were not a good mix at the same time. The textures were just awful for being in the same dumpling. Zaida would mention the texture part, and that the ramen seemed a bit too done and underseasoned, and after being thanked for being a bit more polite about it she was paid and allowed to leave. It was time to go to her friend's family shop to get some good dumplings, anything to wash away those nasty things she had eaten for money!
