In Death New Life Begins (Private/Flashback)

Rezei knew the death of his grandfather would send the Land of Iron into chaos but this was insane. Small fights of who would be the next Shogun would began occuring and as history was sure to repeat itself a civil war would occur soon enough. People of course was looking for Rezei himself to step forward and become the next leader of the Samurai but that was not what he wanted. Of course his decesion was not of popular demand but it didnt matter those animals only sought to get rid of their competition anyhow.

Before the situation would get any worse Rezei would need help from the only person he could trust, Maki. Maki his adoptive brother was out searching for the culprits of their grandfather's death and from the last time they spoke, he had found good evidence leading him towards the land of the ninjas, specifically the Earth Country. Rezei would set out from Shimogakure into the ninja world this was his first time leaving the village for years. He only wished he was doing so under better circumstances. It would take a few days for him to reach the Land of Earth and he searched far and wide for his brother. He was almost ready to give up until he recieved word of his brother being on the outskirts of the land near a almost deserted town.

"He better be here dammit..."

Maki had been waiting in this deserted town for quite some time. It was not like his brother to keep him waiting, but then it was very much like himself to give rather vague directions, so he wouldn't blame Rezei. He sat upon the roof of an abandoned house just at the edge of the town, waiting. When he saw a figure in the distance, yes, his brother had come. Maki had no weapon currently, but he didn't really need a weapon to be deadly, not when he had his genetically engineered kekkei genkai. AS Rezei would approach, Maki would throw up a hand, "Yo! Nice of you to join me!" He would jump down to greet his brother, once they exchanged greetings, he would get straight to business. "I tracked a messenger that was carrying a parcel from someone I assume to be a Black Sun informant. He came into this town, into this very building and hasn't come out in an hour or so. I think we can set up an ambush for him rather easily." It was a solid plan, but it may take time to execute properly, time that they had no idea if they had or not.

It only took moments after hoping that his brother was around to hear the idiot shouting at from from across the open field. All Rezei would have on him was a S Rank basic Katana he had figured nothing else was needed for this trip and he would hope his silly brother wouldn't have gotten into to much trouble, "Hey you dingus next time you better be more clear abou directions I have wasted so much time looking for you. As Maki jumped down Rezei would attempt to slam his closed fist into the top of Maki's head to teach him a lesson. That was the perfect greeting he felt Maki deserved at the time but of course there would still be business to handle.

Hearing that the target a name who may have clues on who was responsible for their grandfathers death was waiting inside of this cabin. The two of them together would be sure to get down to the bottom of this entire mess and hopefully soon enough to keep Shimo from falling back into a civil war. Rezei would reach towards the katana resting on his hip as his black eyes would turn from a dull and relaxed gaze to never ending void of intensity ands fury.

"So how do you want to handle this? I suggest we attack from two fronts."

Maki nodded to his brother, it would make the most sense to attack in a pincer like fashion to prevent their target from escaping. "I'll go inside using my bloodline and then you cover the door. We can then block him off that way." It wasn't a terrible plan, so it would be enough to work. If Rezei didn't have anything else to add into the aforementioned plan, Maki would phase into the ground to enter into the hidden tunnel below. Inside, he found evidence that their quarry had been there and was in fact, just leaving. The main evidence being still smoking candles and the fact he could hear the man making his way up a flight of stairs, no doubt heading to the door Rezei was to be heading towards. Maki would stealthily make his way behind the man to aid in attack should his brother need it. But, he wasn't a ton of help without Tamashikami which he gave to Roku back in Kumogakure. 


Cody Curse had just finished delivering the intel he had gained on the Land of Earth's infrastructure and the success of the assassination of the Shogun. He had also sent his suggestion to attack Konohagakure and Kumogakure as they would prove to be the biggest militaristic threats to the Sun's attempt to take over Iwa. He would open the door of the abandoned building that acted as his impromptu teleporting area. Should he not be interrupted, he would simply walk through the door and out into the town where he would make his way down the street and towards the next rendezvous.

Rezei waited at the door just as his brother instruct his hand would be placed on the S Rank Katana he had brought. While it wasnt his signature weapon it would do fine against any opponent. It had been a minute since he had spent some time witu his brither let alone fought alongside of him so this would be interesting indeed. Something felt different in the air and Rezei couldnt put his finger on it, but he at the very least hoped that the off feeling was on of good intent instead of bad. From what he gathered about the group that attacked his grandfather, he knew none of that was to be played around with so if Rezei was given the opportunity or the need he would surely put the informant down.

"Dont fuck this up Maki or the rest of the village will make you a laughing stock."

Maki would wait for Rezei to make the first move against their opponent, or at least, that was the plan. But apparently their opponent was craftier than they had given him credit for. Whether through some advanced form of sensing or just foolish mistakes on their part, the man had detected them somehow and placed some form of seal discreetly on his way out of the hideout, Maki fell for it, hook, line and sinker. He was now wounded from a kunai that shot from a hidden seal and hit him in the side. He had enough training to take the pain and still be of use to his brother, but nothing as if he was still in perfect condition.

It was a good thing he had placed that trap, Cody would think to himself as he exited the building on high alert. He had detected when it went off, which meant his potential assassin was either wounded or dead from the attack, unless fo course they survived it. He got outside to find another one waiting for him, but he wouldn't be so easily captured. He would sink into the ground, using the underground fish projection technique to slip under his opponent. If the man gave up the chase, he would let them live, if not, he would do everything in his power to make their lives hell.
